FREE SITE WITH ADVERTISING VS SERVICE PROVIDER MODEL

Hi Everyone – well we have been looking at our model again and we really are stumped as to why there is not more of a wholesale takeup of the site when we have a “Love It” rating of over 90%. When we first launched we thought people would like the open service provider model we run – Sell a little bit – Pay a little; Use more – Pay More; Want to sell unlimited items – then pre pay for the unlimited plan…just like any internet service provider. We thought that you would all like an “advertising free” site without distracting banners and pop ups! 

SOO – here is the 60,000 dollar question; the site costs real money to develop and run; would you rather have a free site for all your buying and selling and we open up to advertisers for revenue or would you all rather continue with very cost effective pre-paid plans. The idea behind the pre-paid plans is that you all know exactly what your outgoings for a store are per month and you never have to reconcile percentages of finals sales fee’s on each item sold and you never have to reconcile your payments against the company. (remember that we do not take part in the transaction)

If you have a better idea of how you would like the site to work – please let us know! If you think there is something wrong with the site or something needs improvement – STAND UP AND VOTE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT!   

I know one thing though – we have heaps of buyers coming into the site now but many of our sellers are not responding or logging in to check their messages. If you are a serious trader then get your goods onboard.
